In my previous position as a business development manager, I encountered a situation where a significant client expressed interest in a new product line we were launching, but they were not pleased with the initial product presentation. It was difficult to understand their requirements due to unclear feedback, making it challenging to select a product they would endorse. To address this, I organized a meeting with the client for a more in-depth conversation. During that meeting, I posed specific questions that helped me grasp precisely what they were seeking in our new product. After collecting their preferences, expectations, and the reasons for their dissatisfaction with our first presentation, I was able to match those needs with a particular product. Additionally, I collaborated closely with our product team to ensure the product would align with their expectations. Ultimately, the client approved the tailored product and expressed satisfaction with our attentiveness and responsiveness to their needs.
