For me, humility involves understanding and admitting that we don’t possess all the answers, and that everyone, no matter their position or status, has something meaningful to offer. It entails being willing to learn, develop, and appreciate the viewpoints of others without allowing pride to interfere. An instance where I demonstrated this was while leading a project at my previous workplace. Even though I was the project leader, I recognized that a junior team member had valuable insights that were being overlooked due to their level of experience. Acknowledging my own lack of knowledge in that specific area, I reached out to the team member, recognized my gap in understanding, and solicited their feedback. This not only led to the successful completion of the project but also created an atmosphere of openness and mutual respect within the team.
