In my previous position as a software developer, I was tasked with creating a complex algorithm for a significant project. Upon submitting it, my project manager noted that the execution time of my code was excessive and recommended an alternative approach. At first, I felt disheartened since I had invested considerable effort into that algorithm, but I recognized that his feedback was aimed at enhancing the project's results. Thus, I revisited my work, incorporated his suggestions, and sought additional opportunities to optimize the code. After implementing the changes, not only did the execution time improve dramatically, but I also gained insight into a more efficient method for developing algorithms. My manager valued my adaptability and my openness to constructive criticism.
