In my previous position as a Project Manager at XYZ Software Development Company, we had completed about 70% of the development for a mobile application for one of our clients. However, during a review with the client, they requested a major alteration to the application's functionality in light of emerging market trends that the product had not initially been designed to address. At that moment, the change became essential for ensuring the product's success in the marketplace. My initial steps included performing a feasibility study to assess the potential effects on the project's timeline and budget. I communicated these findings to both senior management and the client, ensuring that all stakeholders were aware of the implications. After receiving approval, I reorganized the team, assigned new tasks reflecting the changes, and slightly extended the timeline to accommodate the revisions. The outcome was that we successfully incorporated the new functionality. Although the project was delivered a bit later than originally scheduled, the market response surpassed our client's expectations, as indicated by a significant rise in the client’s market share.
