Market-makers, hedge funds, trading desks, and sophisticated financial players are paying close attention — and we need someone to own the full process of bringing them onto the platform. This role sits within Operations, reports directly to senior leadership, and leads the institutional onboarding function end to end.The work is operational and relational in equal measure.
You'll design and run the onboarding process for institutional counterparties, work closely with legal and compliance to keep things moving, and be the face of Polymarket to some of the most sophisticated traders in the world.
Every week an institution is stuck in onboarding is a week they're not trading.What You'll DoOwn the end-to-end institutional onboarding process, from initial outreach and documentation collection through account activation and first tradeDesign and implement scalable onboarding workflows that reduce time-to-live for new institutional accounts without sacrificing compliance requirementsServe as the primary point of contact for institutional clients during onboarding, setting clear expectations and keeping deals movingCoordinate with legal, compliance, and product teams to resolve blockers, negotiate documentation requirements, and ensure institutional accounts meet all necessary standardsBuild and maintain a pipeline of institutional prospects moving through onboarding, and report on status, conversion rates, and bottlenecks to leadershipIdentify patterns in where onboarding slows down and fix them — whether that means updating internal processes, improving documentation, or escalating product gapsWork with the broader operations and growth teams to define what institutional success looks like post-onboarding and ensure a clean handoffWhat We're Looking For7+ years of experience in financial services, with meaningful time spent in client onboarding, institutional sales support, or operations at a bank, brokerage, exchange, or fintechDeep familiarity with KYC, KYB, and AML processes and the ability to navigate them without constant hand-holding from legal or complianceProven track record of owning a client-facing process end-to-end, not just executing tasks within someone else's systemStrong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple institutional onboardings simultaneously without anything falling through the cracksComfortable working in ambiguity — this role requires building structure where little exists todayClear, direct communicator who can represent Polymarket credibly to sophisticated financial counterparties(Plus) Experience at a crypto exchange, prediction market, or other alternative trading platform(Plus) Familiarity with CFTC-regulated entities and the documentation requirements specific to derivatives or swaps trading(Plus) Experience hiring and managing a small operations or onboarding teamBenefitsCompetitive salary & equityUnlimited PTOFull Health, Vision, & Dental coverage401k matchHardware setup: new MacBook Pro, big display, & accessories
