Senior Network Engineer

Location: Carol Stream, IL

We are seeking a highly skilled and hands-on Senior Network Engineer to support

and drive our continued growth. This role is responsible for designing,

implementing, maintaining, and securing all aspects of our network

infrastructure within a 24/7 production environment. The Senior Network Engineer

ensures high availability, performance, and resiliency across LAN, WAN, VPN,

Wi-Fi, and cloud networks that support our critical print operations and digital

delivery systems.

Key Responsibilities

• * Design, configure, and manage enterprise network infrastructure including
• LAN, WAN, WLAN, VPN, and SD-WAN.
• * Monitor, analyze, and optimize network performance; proactively identify and
• resolve bottlenecks and latency issues.
• * Strengthen network security by implementing firewalls, IDS/IPS, ACLs,
• segmentation, and encryption technologies.
• * Maintain and administer network hardware including routers, switches,
• firewalls, load balancers, and wireless controllers.
• * Troubleshoot and resolve complex network issues affecting production SLAs and
• operational uptime.
• * Lead network-related projects such as upgrades, migrations, expansions,
• integrations, and lifecycle refreshes.
• * Create and maintain detailed documentation for network configurations,
• standards, and troubleshooting procedures.

• Required Knowledge & Experience
• * Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent
• experience.
• * 10+ years of experience in network engineering or network administration
• roles within enterprise or production environments.
• * Strong understanding of modern networking protocols including BGP, OSPF,
• EIGRP, TCP/IP, VLANs, MPLS, etc.
• * Hands-on experience with enterprise networking hardware, preferably HPE
• Switching and Mellanox, with familiarity in Cisco, Fortinet, Palo Alto,
• SonicWall, or equivalent.
• * Deep understanding of cloud-native networking concepts and technologies
• across AWS, Google Cloud, and/or Azure.
• * Solid understanding of IT security best practices and compliance standards
• relevant to regulated industries such as print/mail.
• * Strong analytical, documentation, communication, and troubleshooting skills.

• Preferred Skills
• * Certifications such as CCNP or equivalent.
• * Experience supporting highly available network infrastructure in production
• environments.
• * Experience with large-scale HPE and Mellanox switching environments (highly
• preferred).

• Security & Compliance
• * Implement and maintain firewall rules, ACLs, IDS/IPS, and network
• segmentation in coordination with security teams.
• * Ensure network infrastructure aligns with compliance frameworks such as NIST,
• ISO 27001, SOC 2, and PCI.
• * Support and contribute to zero-trust networking initiatives and secure
• architecture design.
• Salary Range: $125,000 - $135,000
