What will you do at Factorial?
We are looking for aMarketing Director for the Portuguese market to take full ownership of the local marketing strategy, team, and contribution to revenue. This is a senior leadership role where you will define the strategy and ensure it translates into pipeline, revenue, and a strong Factorial brand in Portugal. What will you be doing?
Own the Portuguese marketing strategy and ensure marketing is directly connected to business and revenue objectives. Define and execute the strategy acrossDemand Generation, Content, Brand, Events, and other acquisition channels. Partner closely with theSales team to generate and convert high-quality demand, with a strong focus on pipeline, demos, and revenue.
Lead the planning and execution of major marketing campaigns, ensuring strong performance against business objectives. Develop thelong-term marketing strategy for Portugal, identifying the biggest opportunities for growth and defining where Factorial should invest to accelerate the business. Lead, develop, and coach the local marketing team acrossDemand Generation, Events, Content, and Brand.
Work closely with the Content team to develop local content, campaigns, and initiatives that strengthen Factorial's position in the Portuguese market. Develop and strengthen theFactorial brand and community in Portugal, ensuring we build long-term awareness and relevance alongside short-term demand. Use data and market insights to continuously evaluate performance, identify opportunities, and make informed investment decisions.
Work cross-functionally withSales, Marketing Ops, Performance, Product, and central marketing teams to ensure the Portuguese market has the resources and support needed to achieve its goals. Manage external agencies, freelancers, and partners where relevant, ensuring high standards of execution and accountability. Bring a strong understanding of thePortuguese market, customers, and business ecosystem to Factorial's broader marketing strategy.
Your profile You have8+ years of experience in marketing, with significant experience leading marketing for a market, business unit, or high-growth company. You have a strong track record inB2B marketing, demand generation, and revenue growth, ideally within SaaS or a technology company. You have experience managing significant marketing investments and makingdata-driven decisions about where and how to invest.
You are highly comfortable working withrevenue, pipeline, CAC, ROI, and other commercial KPIs, and understand how marketing performance translates into business results. You have experience managing and developinghigh-performing marketing teams across multiple disciplines. You are bothstrategic and hands-on: you can define the long-term direction while staying close enough to execution to understand what is really happening.
You have a strongdata-driven mindset and use numbers to challenge assumptions, prioritise opportunities, and make decisions. You have strongcommunication and stakeholder-management skills and are comfortable working with senior Sales and business leaders. You have a deep understanding of thePortuguese market, including its customers, business ecosystem, and marketing landscape.
You are fluent inPortuguese and English. You have a strong sense ofcommunity and brand, understanding how to build a meaningful local presence rather than focusing exclusively on performance. You have an entrepreneurial mindset: you take ownership, move quickly, test ideas, and are comfortable operating in an environment where not everything is already defined.
You are ambitious, commercially minded, and motivated by building something that can have a significant impact on the business. Bonus points Experience inB2B SaaS or a high-growth technology company. Experience owning marketing contribution torevenue or pipeline.
Experience scaling a local marketing organisation. Strong experience across bothperformance/demand generation and brand/community building. Experience working in an international company with central and local marketing teams.
Entrepreneurial experience or a strong track record of building new initiatives from scratch.
