Skills and CompetenciesWell-developed analytical and modelling skillsStrong written and verbal communication skills in Portuguese and English; Spanish preferredAdvanced Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint skills are mandatoryPython programming and Visual Basic for Applications knowledge preferredBasic understanding of artificial intelligence concepts, with curiosity and enthusiasm for learning how AI tools can be used to improve processes and drive efficiencyInterest in responsible AI practices, including risk management and ethical useEducationStudents matriculating in a degree program in Business Administration, Economics, Engineering, Statistics, Accounting, or a related fieldStudents expected to graduate within the next 12 monthsThe programs starts in January 2027ResponsibilitiesSupports transaction surveillance and ratings analysis through financial modeling, portfolio review, and researchReview performance of existing transactions and assist in preparing quarterly surveillance reportsAnalyze transaction documents to understand legal, operational, and counterparty risksAnalyze characteristics of underlying portfolios and performance historyApply default and cash flow modeling in line with Moody’s Local rating methodologiesAttend virtual and in-person meetings with originators, advisors, and transaction participantsAssist in preparing rating committee materialsSupport timely and relevant research on issuers and sector-related topicsAssist in rating methodology, model, and scorecard updatesAbout the TeamThe Structured Finance team at Moody’s Local Brasil is responsible for assigning and monitoring credit ratings for structured finance transactions issued in the Brazilian market.

These transactions span a broad range of instruments, including Fundos de Investimento em Direitos Creditórios, Certificados de Recebíveis Imobiliários, Certificados de Recebíveis do Agronegócio, and Fiagro, and cover asset classes such as auto loans, payroll‑deducted loans, consumer credit, trade receivables, credit card receivables, and mortgage loans, among others.
