Skills and CompetenciesMinimum 10 years of hands-on Vertex O Series 9.0 implementation and support experience, with configuration expertise in SAP Financial Accounting, Vertex Accelerator, and Vertex O Series 8.0 and 9.0Experience with SAP integrations with Vertex, including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Sales and Distribution, and Intercompany Invoicing, as well as configuring and troubleshooting SAP Integration Component tax mappingsExperience supporting global tax implementations across US, Canada, EMEA, APAC, LATAM, Brazil, and India, including greenfield implementations, cutover, hypercare, and production supportFunctional understanding of Sales and Use Tax, VAT/GST, tax exemptions, multi-jurisdiction determination, and global tax matrices, including direct and withholding tax conceptsExperience with SAP Document and Reporting Compliance, e-invoicing, and Continuous Transaction Controls, including country-specific mandates such as Peppol, LATAM, and India GSTHighly developed interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills with the ability to express complex technical concepts in business terms; experience developing and conducting end-user trainingsAbility to work effectively and collaboratively with internal business, technical, and external consulting teams; ability to manage projects, teams, and competing priorities under time constraintsDemonstrated proficiency in artificial intelligence concepts, with hands-on experience using AI tools to streamline workflows and enhance operational efficiency.

We partner closely with Tax, Finance, IT, and external advisors to translate complex regulatory requirements into scalable, well-controlled system solutions that power Moody's global operations. By joining our team, you will play a pivotal role in shaping how tax technology functions at a global scale, contributing to initiatives spanning multiple regions, business cycles, and compliance frameworks.
We are actively investing in automation and AI-enabled capabilities to drive efficiency, accuracy, and innovation across our finance and tax platforms.For US-based roles only: the anticipated hiring base salary range for this position is $103,800.00 - $172,650.00, depending on factors such as experience, education, level, skills, and location. This range is based on a full-time position. In addition to base salary, this role is eligible for incentive compensation.
