Skills and CompetenciesStrong organizational, communication and written skillsFinancial/statistical research capabilitiesStrong academic background with good grasp of accounting and financial modeling knowledgeKnowledge of MS Excel, Word, and PowerPointProven English, spoken, and written communicationPython programming, Power BI & Visual Basic for Applications knowledge is a plusUnderstanding of cash-flow modeling techniques is a plusPrograming/coding skills are desirable EducationStudents matriculating a degree in economics, finance, accounting, engineering, statistics, actuarial science or similar (e.g. bachelor’s degree, or equivalent qualifications). or business-related disciplineStudents expected to graduate within the next 12 monthsThe program starts in January 2027Responsibilities Provide analytical, statistical and research assistance to junior/senior analysts in various business sectors within the Corporate Finance for Brazil, contributing to rating-related activitiesPreparing/Updating financial spreadsheets for entities, including financial spreadsheets, charts, modelsReading legal documents and contracts to understand issuance terms, structures, covenants, and guaranteesProducing analytical summaries of quantitative and qualitative information for analystsIdentifying trends in data and use analytical ability, applying judgment to form well throughout credit conclusionsDevelop understanding of Moody’s Local methodologies in order to apply to credit analysisPerform certain routine administrative and other ad hoc credit-related tasks as advised by direct supervisorParticipating in data science projects where programing/coding skills are desirableAbout the teamThe intern will support the REG ORG team by assisting with a variety of operational, administrative, and project-related activities that contribute to the success of Moody's Local Brazil.
