About the role

What will you do at Amazon?

Are you excited about shaping products that reach millions of customers? Do you

thrive at the intersection of technology and customer experience, turning

ambiguity into clear product direction? As a Product Manager III, Technical at

Amazon, you will own the vision, strategy, and roadmap for products with

considerable scope and complexity. You will work backward from customer needs to

define what gets built and why, partnering closely with engineering, design, and

cross-functional teams to deliver meaningful outcomes. This role puts you at the

center of product decisions where your judgment, technical curiosity, and

data-driven mindset will directly influence how customers interact with Amazon's

products and services.

Key job responsibilities

- Define product vision, strategy, and roadmap by working backward from customer

needs, writing clear PR/FAQs and problem statements, and aligning stakeholders

on priorities and trade-offs.

- Drive product execution end-to-end — from requirements and design through

launch and post-launch performance monitoring — partnering with engineering,

design, and science teams to deliver high-quality customer experiences.

- Leverage data analysis, customer research, and market insights to define

success criteria, identify the highest-leverage metrics, and inform

prioritization decisions across your product area.

- Collaborate across functional areas including marketing, sales, legal,

finance, and operations to build alignment, influence without authority, and

ensure coordinated delivery for the customer.

- Evaluate technical proposals and architecture decisions for strengths,

trade-offs, and long-term implications, and apply generative AI capabilities

where appropriate to accelerate development and unlock new forms of innovation.

A day in the life

You start by reviewing product metrics and customer feedback to spot emerging

patterns. Mid-morning, you join a design review to refine an upcoming feature's

user experience, then shift into a sprint planning session with your engineering

team to discuss trade-offs and unblock dependencies. After lunch, you draft a

product brief for a new initiative, pressure-testing your assumptions with data

before sharing it with cross-functional partners. You close out by connecting

with stakeholders to align on upcoming milestones and ensure your roadmap

reflects the latest customer insights.
