At present, Android's original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) are primarily focused on competing through price rather than differentiation, which leads to decreased profitability and promotes the use of low-quality, inexpensive components that are nonetheless popular. To address this issue, Android could implement an OEM certification program that prioritizes technical standards and user experience. OEMs that comply with these standards could receive official recognition, providing them with marketing benefits and helping to distinguish their products in the marketplace. Additionally, Android could collaborate with OEMs to create integrated hardware-software solutions that enhance user experiences. For instance, establishing a joint lab where Google's software expertise and the hardware knowledge of OEMs can merge to develop advanced user experiences. Lastly, Android could provide support to OEMs in areas such as technical training, marketing, and after-sales services to enhance their capabilities. This would allow Android to align with the interests of OEMs while simultaneously prioritizing its own objectives.
