The initial phase in creating a language detection system is text preprocessing . This phase involves tokenization, which is the process of dividing the text into words or tokens. Additionally, we must handle aspects such as punctuation and case conversions (for instance, converting to lower case). The subsequent step is to select an appropriate detection model. The Naive Bayes classifier is a strong candidate due to its straightforwardness and effectiveness in text classification tasks. In the context of language detection, the Naive Bayes classifier associates each word with a specific language based on the probability of that word appearing in that language. Finally, we will assess the system's performance. This can be done by dividing our dataset into a training set and a test set. After training the model, we can evaluate its accuracy using the test set.
