In my previous position as a software engineer at XYZ Corporation, I was involved in the implementation of computer vision technologies in various projects. My main focus was on developing a facial recognition system for our security control department. For this initiative, we made use of the OpenCV and TensorFlow libraries, both of which I mastered during the process. I was tasked with designing and constructing the solution, which included creating algorithms to detect and recognize faces from live video streams. A significant challenge we faced was achieving the right balance between accuracy and system performance. To address this, I suggested and executed a more effective strategy that included pre-processing images to eliminate noise and utilizing principal component analysis for feature extraction. Consequently, our facial recognition system's recognition rate improved from 78% to 93%, and its processing speed increased as well. This project not only enhanced my expertise in computer vision technologies, but also provided me with the chance to lead a team and tackle intricate technical challenges.
