Picture yourself at the library, Grandma. You're in search of a specific book, but unfortunately, that particular book isn't available at that library. However, by making a request, you can have it sent to you, allowing you to access all the information it contains. In a similar way, cloud computing enables you to store and retrieve your data and applications over the internet rather than relying solely on your computer's hard drive. You can 'request' your data and 'access' it whenever you need it, no matter where you are. Instead of keeping all your information in one location, like your books at home, it exists 'in the cloud' and is readily available, which is how the term 'cloud computing' originated.
