During my time as a junior developer, I was assigned the task of creating a new feature for our application. Eager to get started, I neglected to document the process, believing it would hinder my progress, and concentrated only on coding. Unfortunately, I encountered an issue that caused significant delays since I lacked proper documentation to reference. I recognize that my mistake stemmed from not appreciating the value of thorough documentation. This experience taught me that keeping records and documenting work is just as important as the coding itself in the development process. Following this experience, I began to implement strict documentation practices for all my projects, which not only enhanced the quality of my work but also aided my colleagues who worked on those projects later on.
