In my previous position as a project manager, we were engaged in a critical project with a tight deadline. Due to unexpected technical challenges, we began to fall behind our timeline. We faced two choices: we could either persist with the current methodology, which was slow but well-known to the team, or we could experiment with a new approach that might expedite the project, though it was untested by our team. I felt strongly that we should opt for the new method, despite its unfamiliarity, as adhering to the old way would likely lead to further delays. I chose to follow my intuition, and fortunately, the new approach proved successful, allowing us to complete the project on time. This positive outcome encouraged our team to be more receptive to trying new methodologies in future projects.
