In my previous role, I had a difference of opinion with my manager regarding the direction of an advertising campaign. I felt we should aim for a younger audience, whereas she preferred to maintain our traditional demographic as a safer option. Rather than insisting that my approach was better, I suggested we hold a meeting to discuss our differing views. During the meeting, I shared market research data to back up my proposal. Although my manager acknowledged my perspective, she still had some concerns. As a result, we decided to carry out a small-scale trial of my campaign idea. This initiative proved to be successful, leading to a 15% increase in sales for that quarter. This experience highlighted for me the value of constructive disagreements and making decisions based on data.
