About The Role

The UX Designer shapes how customers and internal teams experience Volta's platform — the dashboards, consoles, and workflows that turn complex infrastructure into something people can actually use with confidence. Working closely with the product team behind Volta's user interfaces, you will design experiences that make powerful, technical systems feel clear and approachable.

This is an opportunity to design for a genuinely complex product from an early stage — shaping design patterns, standards, and craft as Volta's platform and customer base grow.

What You Will Be Doing

Design user experiences for Volta's dashboards, consoles, and customer-facing platform interfaces

Partner closely with product management to translate customer needs into intuitive workflows

Create wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs for new and existing platform features

Conduct or contribute to user research to inform design decisions

Build and maintain design patterns and standards that scale across the platform

Collaborate with engineering to ensure designs are implemented accurately and performantly

Simplify complex, technical workflows into clear, usable interfaces

Iterate on designs based on user feedback and usage data post-launch

What You Bring

Experience as a UX or product designer, ideally on technical, developer-facing, or infrastructure products

A strong portfolio demonstrating end-to-end design process, from research through high-fidelity execution

Comfortable designing for complex, data-dense, or technical workflows

Experience working closely with product managers and engineers in a fast-paced environment

Strong communication skills, able to explain design decisions and rationale clearly

Proficiency in standard design tools (e.g. Figma or equivalent)
