This is primarily an onsite role at our headquarters in Allen, TX with occasional local travel to client locations as required. Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license are required. Mileage reimbursement is provided for all business-related travel.

Our Professional Services team leads complex infrastructure and cloud transformation projects, ensuring excellence in execution and client engagement.

ROLE SUMMARY

The Senior Microsoft Platform Engineer leads the design, implementation, and optimization of Microsoft-based environments across our client portfolio, with deep technical expertise across Microsoft 365, Azure, Entra ID, and Intune. This role owns architecture and delivery of complex cloud and infrastructure projects, ensures security, compliance, and standardization across Microsoft platforms, and serves as a senior escalation point for advanced engineering challenges.

Success is measured by project delivery quality, platform security and compliance outcomes, and the technical growth of the engineers this role mentors. This is a client-facing, strategic position essential to elevating our technical delivery standards.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Microsoft Platform Management

* Architect, configure, and manage Microsoft 365 tenant environments and licensing.

* Lead cloud infrastructure projects including migrations, upgrades, and deployments.

* Administer Entra ID, Intune, Autopilot, Conditional Access, and Teams Voice.

* Ensure security and compliance across Microsoft cloud platforms.

Automation & Reporting

* Create PowerShell scripts to automate recurring tasks; publish AIP modules as needed.

* Build dashboards and reports using Power BI and Crystal Reports.

* Troubleshoot SharePoint integrations and validate accurate data reporting.

Cybersecurity & Tools Integration

* Deploy and maintain security solutions including Datto EDR, RocketCyber, Graphus, and Spanning.

* Manage integrations across Autotask, Kaseya, Power Apps, and PIA.

* Maintain and document backup and disaster recovery solutions.

Client Engagement & Documentation

* Act as a senior escalation point for complex support issues and project execution.

* Maintain documentation in IT Glue (SOPs, diagrams, project artifacts).

* Provide Microsoft licensing guidance and ensure compliance standards are met.

* Support client onboarding and communicate technical strategy effectively.

Mentorship & Knowledge Sharing

* Mentor junior engineers and promote documentation best practices.

* Lead internal technical reviews and training sessions.

* Support alignment of processes, standards, and engineering quality across teams.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Education and Experience

* 5+ years of experience in IT infrastructure, systems engineering, or Microsoft platform management.

* Required experience in an MSP environment.

* Expertise in Microsoft 365, Azure, Entra ID, Intune, and Teams Voice.

* Experience with Autotask, Kaseya, and IT Glue.

* Hands-on experience with PowerShell, Power BI, and cloud security tools.

* Familiarity with networking, firewalls, VMware/Hyper-V, and virtualization concepts.

* Healthcare/medical IT environment experience is a plus.

* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, MIS, or related field preferred.

* Microsoft and/or CompTIA certifications preferred.

Technical Skills

* Advanced understanding of Microsoft cloud ecosystems and identity management.

* Strong knowledge of Intune, Autopilot, Conditional Access, and security frameworks.

* Proficiency with scripting (PowerShell), automation, and cloud reporting tools.

* Strong troubleshooting and root-cause analysis capabilities across infrastructure layers.

* Experience with security platforms including Datto EDR and RocketCyber.

* Ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously.

* Must be able to lift 40 lbs.

* Ability to sit, stand, drive, and use a laptop for extended periods.

* Ability to access network/server closets, manage cabling, and install devices as needed.
