Staff Platform Engineer

In this role, you will

• bridge our bare-metal infrastructure and AWS public cloud into a seamless ecosystem, providing 200+ product engineers with a unified, self-service development experience.</p><h5 style="text-align:justify;"><strong>Responsibilities</strong></h5><ul><li><p>Design the architecture for a hybrid platform (On-Premises DC + AWS) and build abstractions for seamless application deployment across all environments.</p></li><li><p>Develop our Internal Developer Platform and unified developer portal (Backstage / Custom IDP) to streamline service creation, deployment, and monitoring.</p></li><li><p>Unify the provisioning, management, and operational workflows of Kubernetes clusters across both AWS (EKS) and bare-metal environments (bare-metal K8s, KubeVirt).</p></li><li><p>Write custom platform services, CLI tools, and Kubernetes operators in Go.</p></li><li><p>Partner with network and bare-metal infrastructure engineers (BGP, Linstor, GlusterFS) to integrate bare-metal solutions into the unified platform layer.</p></li><li><p>Define overarching technical strategy and mentor Senior and Lead engineers across teams.</p></li></ul><p><strong>What makes you the perfect fit</strong></p><ul><li><p>5+ years of experience in infrastructure and systems engineering, including 2+ years operating at a Staff, Principal, or Tech Lead level.</p></li><li><p>Deep expertise in AWS (EKS, VPC, Direct Connect, IAM) and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform / OpenTofu).</p></li><li><p>Strong proficiency in Go for building platform automation tools, custom controllers, and operators.</p></li><li><p>Expert knowledge of Kubernetes internal architecture, custom resource definitions (CRDs), and controller design patterns.</p></li><li><p>Deep understanding of IDP concepts and Developer Experience standards (GitOps, ArgoCD, Service Catalog, DORA metrics).</p></li><li><p>Practical understanding of hybrid network architectures and Zero Trust security principles.</p></li></ul><p><strong>Will be a plus</strong></p><ul><li><p>Experience integrating KubeVirt, Cilium, or OpenTelemetry into platform solutions.</p></li><li><p>Background in FinOps and tracking infrastructure Total Cost of Ownership (TCO).</p></li></ul><p><strong>Our Stack</strong></p><ul><li><p>Go, AWS (EKS, S3), Bare-metal, Kubernetes, Terraform/OpenTofu, Ansible/AWX, ArgoCD, Backstage, Prometheus, OpenTelemetry.</p></li></ul><h5 style="text-align:justify;"><span><strong>What we offer you</strong></span></h5><ul><li><p style="text-align:justify;"><span>Flexible working hours and a hybrid work format</span></p></li><li><p style="text-align:justify;"><span>Well-equipped offices for focused and collaborative work</span></p></li><li><p style="text-align:justify;"><span>A global, distributed team of 500+ professionals</span></p></li><li><p style="text-align:justify;"><span>Learning, mentorship, and long-term career growth</span></p></li><li><p style="text-align:justify;"><span>Relocation support and private health insurance</span></p></li><li><p style="text-align:justify;"><span>Performance-based bonuses</span></p></li><li><p style="text-align:justify;"><span>TradingView Premium access</span></p></li><li><p style="text-align:justify;"><span>Regular team events and company-wide meetups</span></p></li></ul><p></p><p style="text-align:justify;"><span>Join the TradingView team and help us build a product used by millions of traders and investors worldwide.
