Cloud Engineer

Location: Arlington, VA. Clearance Required: Secret. Employment Type: Full-Time.

About the Role

The JAAW Group LLC, a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB), is seeking a Cloud Engineer to support the War Data Platform (WDP) Core Integration effort in support of the Chief Digital and Artificial Intelligence Office (CDAO). This role will support secure and scalable cloud and platform infrastructure within mission-critical Department of Defense environments.

The Cloud Engineer will collaborate with network, cybersecurity, software, data, and AI/ML teams to support reliable infrastructure across the WDP.

Responsibilities

Design, implement, maintain, and improve cloud and platform infrastructure supporting WDP environments.
Support compute, storage, networking, identity, access, and infrastructure security requirements.
Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and Configuration as Code (CaC).
Support automated DevSecOps pipelines across the WDP software lifecycle.
Support development, test, integration, staging, and production environments.
Monitor infrastructure health and performance and troubleshoot infrastructure-related incidents.
Support configuration management and maintenance of infrastructure baselines.
Maintain technical documentation, configurations, diagrams, runbooks, and operational procedures.
Required Qualifications
Active Secret security clearance required prior to onboarding.
U.S. citizenship required.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Information Technology, Engineering, Cybersecurity, or a related technical field.
Experience supporting cloud infrastructure, systems engineering, platform engineering, DevOps, or a related technical environment.
Experience with cloud infrastructure concepts, including compute, storage, networking, identity, and security.
Experience with infrastructure automation, Infrastructure as Code, Configuration as Code, or related technologies.
Strong technical troubleshooting, communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work onsite in Arlington, Virginia.

Preferred Qualifications

Prior experience supporting DoD or federal government environments.
Experience supporting secure or classified cloud environments.
Experience with IaC, CaC, CI/CD, or DevSecOps technologies.
Experience supporting containerized or automated platform environments.
Experience supporting infrastructure for data-intensive or AI/ML workloads.
