The American Dream is built, not inherited. We're hiring the best engineers, designers, and builders to solve the hardest problem in America. As a Senior Software Engineer on the Alamo team, you will play a pivotal role developing our internal software platform called Alamo.
Alamo is what powers the entire company - from underwriting, to ERP, to Manufacturing, to on-site installation.
What You’ll Do
- Design, build, and maintain core features of Alamo, our internal software platform powering operations across the company Develop scalable web applications and APIs using Typescript, NextJS, and modern full stack frameworks Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, product, operations, and business teams to deliver impactful solutions Architect systems and implement complex workflows across underwriting, ERP, manufacturing, and installation modules Leverage AI tools such as Claude Code to increase development velocity and prototype new capabilities Review code, mentor teammates, and help drive best practices for code quality, documentation, and testing Take ownership of projects from concept to production, including system design, implementation, testing, and release Contribute to our product vision and help shape the future of Alamo Qualifications 5+ years experience as a software engineer, with a track record of building end-to-end products Deep proficiency with Typescript and modern full stack development frameworks (NextJS, React, Svelte) Experience designing, building, and scaling distributed backend systems Proven ability to architect complex systems and create reliable software across web and backend Strong collaboration and communication skills; comfortable working across teams in a fast-paced environment Demonstrated ability to develop with AI tools (e.g., Claude Code) to accelerate prototyping and problem solving Knowledge of DevOps and cloud infrastructure best practices is a plus BS or higher in Computer Science or related technical discipline preferred
