About the role
What will you do at Skild AI?
We are looking for a Senior Electrical Engineer with 5+ years of experience to own electrical system integration across cutting-edge robotics platforms at Skild AI. You'll be the go-to expert for power electronics, EMC, and sensor integration — bridging the gap between software/firmware and physical motion control as we build the world's first general-purpose robotic intelligence. What will you be doing?
Designing and validating motor driver circuits, power electronics, and sensor electronics systems for robot platforms Defining grounding, shielding, filtering, and cable strategies across the robot and driving EMC risk mitigation early in the design cycle Integrating sensor data (IMUs, encoders, hall sensors, cameras) at the PCB level Debugging EMC and hardware issues hands-on in the lab using scopes, spectrum analyzers, and other test equipment Making system-level tradeoffs across performance, cost, reliability, manufacturability, and schedule while partnering with EE, ME, firmware, and controls teams Key Requirements BS or MS in Electrical Engineering, Robotics, Mechatronics, or related field with hands-on experience taking electrical hardware from concept through production Strong expertise in EMC/EMI design, debugging, grounding, shielding, filtering, and signal/power integrity Proficiency in power electronics design — motor drives, switching power supplies, high-current DC systems, and battery management Strong PCB design and layout skills with a system-level approach to solving EMC problems Comfortable making decisions with incomplete requirements and communicating tradeoffs across multiple disciplines
