About the company
Our client is a lean, profitable AI infrastructure company building an open-source gateway for teams to work with 100+ AI providers through a unified API. You will own important parts of the backend API, dashboard, and developer experience as the product takes shape.
What you'll do
• Build and ship product features across backend APIs, the dashboard, and the developer experience.
• Work directly with users to understand their problems and translate feedback into product decisions.
• Partner closely with the founders to shape and launch the company’s second major product.
• Use customer insight to prioritize practical features and improve the product after launch.
• Take ownership of ambiguous problems and move them from idea to production.
What we're looking for
• 2 or more years of AI engineering experience.
• A bachelor’s degree in computer science from a top 25 U.S. computer science program.
• Ability to ship production software and communicate proactively with customers.
• Professional English fluency.
• Evidence of initiative in college through entrepreneurial projects, hackathons, or coding competitions.
• Comfort working with Python, FastAPI, TypeScript, and LLM APIs in a product environment.
• Willingness to work full time, five days onsite in San Francisco, on a 60-hour workweek.
Bonus points
• Production experience with Python and FastAPI.
• Experience with infrastructure, developer tools, or LLM products.
• Experience building products in a high-growth, early-stage environment.
Compensation
and benefits
• Base salary of $200K to $250K, with competitive equity.
• A U.S. relocation stipend for eligible candidates.
Location and work model
• Five days per week onsite in San Francisco.
• Full-time role with a 60-hour workweek.
