Job Description
As a Software Engineer, you will join the Phoenix team, developing and testing cloud infrastructure backend services. These services power provisioning, data management and login workflows within a larger Cloud-based product. You will spend your days as a developer, with a quality-focused mindset — writing production code in Go, building unit tests and setup scripts, and developing automated tests in TypeScript and Playwright.
Within a single sprint you may write code on one ticket while testing a colleague's contribution on another. Security is a core part of what we do: our services run inside the product, managing sensitive data and supporting login and provisioning processes. We fix security vulnerabilities and perform threat modeling for our features.
Team works in hybrid mode in Holešovice - Prague, Czech Republic (3 days in the office) reporting to manager, Petr Louda. Your
Responsibilities
- Develop and test backend services by writing production code, unit tests and setup scripts in Go on your own tickets, and developing automated tests in Playwright using TypeScript to verify your colleagues' contributions.

- Contribute to the team's security work, including vulnerability remediation and AI-assisted penetration testing.
- Contribute to low-level designs and negotiate technical solutions with architects on the program.
- Including reviewing and decomposing high-level designs from architects into artefacts, team members can consume to develop the functionality.

- Experience with CI/CD in GitHub, including GitHub Actions and FluxCD.
- Experience with security testing, cryptography, or penetration testing — including AI-assisted approaches.
