Overview

The Full-Stack Software Engineer contributes to PhoenixTeam's Federal Housing Administration (FHA) program, working with Java and Salesforce in an environment that includes AWS microservices and PostgreSQL. Engineers join an agile sprint team as the program brings its Salesforce and AWS development capabilities into two full-stack teams.

The work combines hands-on Java engineering with Salesforce application work and collaboration across the backend, database, and Salesforce layers.

Key Functions

Develop and maintain Java application code and contribute to Salesforce configuration and development work within the assigned team.

Work with teammates to test and troubleshoot changes across the application environment.

Participate in agile sprint planning and delivery, coordinating work with other engineers.

Use Git and participate in peer reviews as part of the team's development workflow.

Document relevant code and configuration changes so teammates can maintain the work.

Minimum Qualifications

  • A bachelor's degree and 7+ years of relevant experience; a master's degree and 5+ years; or an associate degree and 9+ years.
  • Hands-on Java software development experience.
  • Hands-on Salesforce configuration or development experience.
  • Must be eligible to successfully complete the background investigation required for a Public Trust position and receive a favorable suitability determination.

  • Salesforce development experience beyond configuration.
  • Experience working in AWS environments.
  • Experience using Git and participating in peer code reviews.
  • Experience supporting federal programs or working in mortgage or related fields.
  • Prior experience completing a federal background investigation or clearance process.

  • Hours: 40 hours/week with availability during core business hours of 8 a.m.-5 p.m. ET
