This Senior Staff Client Platform Engineer role is a high-impact technical leadership position dedicated to architecting the NVIDIA’s next-generation client platforms. You will move beyond traditional management to build scalable, automated, agentic ecosystems that define the future of global endpoint infrastructure.
In this role, you will
- set the vision for platform service delivery, lead multi-functional initiatives, and drive measurable improvements in reliability, security, and developer productivity through advanced software engineering practices.
- What you’ll be doing:
- Architect and build scalable tooling and services for client platforms, establishing the end-to-end technical strategy for platform automation and service delivery.
- Apply deep codified principles to ensure repeatable, auditable, and version-controlled changes across a global, heterogeneous client environment.
- Set and enforce technical standards for platform automation, mentoring other engineers and driving the adoption of modern software engineering practices across IT.
- Collaborate with Security, Networking, and Product teams to systematically improve platform reliability and the internal developer experience.
- Serve as the primary architect for sophisticated service delivery challenges, driving root-cause analysis and long-term remediation for core platform services.
- Influence and recommend changes to policies, standards, and architectural direction, and establish procedures that impact multiple teams or the broader organization.
- What we need to see:
- BS/MS or equivalent experience in Engineering or Computer Science
- 12+ years of experience in Client Platform Engineering
- Expert-level client platform engineering experience with a proven track record of managing global endpoint fleets at scale.
- Mastery of Configuration as Code and Infrastructure as Code methodologies (e.g., Terraform, Ansible, Chef, or Puppet) and Git-based CI/CD workflows.
- Demonstrated success in building internal tooling, CLI tools, or microservices that automate complex platform operations.
- Strong proficiency in software development (e.g., Python, Go, or Rust) applied specifically to systems engineering and platform tooling.
- Strong communication and partner management skills, with the ability to align diverse teams around a common platform vision.
- Ways to stand out from the crowd:
- Strong experience in Windows client environment engineering, particularly in large-scale enterprise settings.
- Familiarity with building AI models or agents to enhance platform automation and self-healing capabilities.
- Sincere dedication to the end-user experience, with a history of using data and feedback to drive user-focused platform improvements.
- Experience with macOS client platform engineering.

- Your base salary will be determined based on your location, experience, and the pay of employees in similar positions. The base salary range is 200,000 USD - 322,000 USD.
- You will also be eligible for equity and benefits.
