Senior Azure Cloud Engineer

One of Nordic Investin’s partner companies is looking for a Senior Azure Cloud Engineer, with Nordic Investin leading the recruitment process. You know how to turn Azure governance into practical engineering that teams can actually use.

The partner is expanding a Microsoft cloud environment while modernising identity, networking and application hosting. You will build the foundation for secure delivery and guide teams through cloud adoption with working examples.

The platform is treated as a service used by engineers and business teams. Success will be measured through safer change, lower operational friction and clearer ownership rather than the number of tools introduced.

How you will work

The work combines planned platform development with investigation of real production behaviour. You will collaborate with application teams, security and operations, using their feedback to decide what should become a shared service, an automated control or clear documentation. Ownership continues after the first release.

As a senior colleague, you will own substantial outcomes and help others make stronger decisions. You are expected to recognise risk early, communicate it without drama and move work forward with practical alternatives. The role still includes hands on delivery; seniority here means broader judgement, not distance from the work.

What you will do

• Design subscriptions, management groups and policy structures.
• Automate infrastructure with Bicep or Terraform.
• Build secure network, identity and private connectivity patterns.
• Support AKS, App Service and serverless workloads.
• Improve monitoring, backup and disaster recovery.
• Coach delivery teams on reliable Azure implementation.
• What you will bring
• Several years of hands on Azure engineering.
• Strong knowledge of Entra ID, networking and Azure Policy.
• Infrastructure as code and pipeline experience.
• Understanding of cloud security and operational resilience.
• Ability to troubleshoot across application and infrastructure layers.
• Professional English; Swedish is useful for many partner settings.
• Experience that would add value
• Azure Landing Zones and large enterprise governance.
• Hybrid infrastructure and migration experience.
• Microsoft security certifications or equivalent practical depth.
• A background that can succeed here
• You may come from an operations team, consultancy, software platform group or data centre migration programme. We are interested in what you have built and operated, including the lessons behind the design.
