We are seeking a Senior Artificial Intelligence (AI) Engineer with a proven track record in software engineering and a deep understanding of Artificial Intelligence/ Machine Learning (AI/ML) techniques to support an exciting new AI and Emerging Technologies (AI&ET) mission.
In this role, you will
- work closely with mission stakeholders to capture requirements, aid in structured planning, and improve processes by introducing AI/ML tooling.
- Additionally, you will use AI/ML to develop tools and techniques to include fine tuning Large Language Models (LLM) that assist in enhanced identification and mitigation capabilities.
- The ideal candidate for this position will have demonstrable experience designing, developing, and maintaining LLM orchestration frameworks; experience developing and optimizing data for LLM consumption; and have a strong proficiency working in Python.

Qualifications
- TS/SCI with polygraph security clearance.
- A Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in computer science or a related STEM discipline and eight (8) years or relevant experience is required.
- A Doctoral degree (PHD) and four (4) years, a Master of Science (M.S.) degree and six (6) years, or an Associate of Science (A.S.) degree and ten (10) years of experience is also acceptable.
- Strong proficiency with object-oriented languages like Python.
- Experience with LLM integration and data engineering.
- Experience with static analyzers, Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) framework, and relational and vector databases.
- Familiarization with Agile, Git, Jira, and Confluence.
- Must be capable of working with systems engineers to architect and deploy networked AI tools within secure enclaves and conduct performance profiling, optimization, and scalability analysis of mission systems.

- Familiarity with RUST, Claude Code, Codex, and Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery/Deployment (CI/CD) practices.
