What will you do at Modern Technology Solutions, Inc. (MTSI)?

MTSI is seeking to hire a Software Engineer (DevSecOps) with a strong background in secure cloud platform engineering, Kubernetes operations, and policy‑as‑code enforcement. This senior role supports mission‑critical defense programs and requires deep technical expertise, leadership ability, and hands-on experience in high-assurance environments.

Key Responsibilities

Manage and operate Azure Government (IL5) and Azure Secret (IL6) environments
Architect secure Kubernetes platforms using FluxCD, GitLab CI/CD, and GitOps methodologies
Build and maintain Terraform configurations for Azure, GitLab, Artifactory, and developer platforms
Deploy and administer Coder Enterprise v2 for secure cloud-based development
Develop hardened container images and Helm releases for regulated workloads
Implement policy‑as‑code using OPA, Rego, Gatekeeper, and advanced validation pipelines
Engineer air-gapped deployment workflows and secure artifact transfer mechanisms
Collaborate across teams to ensure compliance, security, and platform reliability
Required Qualifications
Must be able to obtain and maintain a secret level clearance
US citizenship is required.
Bachelor's degree in computer science or related STEM field.
6+ years of experience in software engineering, DevSecOps, or secure cloud/platform engineering
Security+ certification is required.

Preferred Qualifications

10+ years of relevant professional experience
Masters degree
active Secret or TS level clearance
Experience supporting Department of Defense or intelligence community systems
