Responsibilities
- Modern Technology Solutions, Inc. (MTSI) is searching for a Network Engineer to support United States Space Force (USSF) by developing software in support of Space Systems Command (SSC) and Combat Forces Command (CFC) Defensive Cyber Operations.
- A successful candidate should be a leader and problem solver with a proven ability to deliver superior results as part of a high performing team in a fast-paced environment.
- Your essential job functions will include but may not be limited to:
- Uses knowledge of network systems to help design and install internal and external networks.
- Tests and evaluates network systems to eliminate problems and make improvements. Relies on established guidelines and instructions to perform daily job functions.
- Work on a team in an Agile environment, creating and executing Stories, Bugs, and Spikes to meet system patch and release timelines
- Design and implement on-prem and cloud platform solutions to support defensive cyber tool suites comprised of custom and commercial applications
Qualifications
- Required:
- At least 10 years' related professional experience
- Must have JNCDA, JNCDS-DC, JNCDS-SEC, CCNA, or equivalent
- Desired skills/experience:
- Relevant DoD and/or Industry work experience in Space Systems Command
- 1 or more cyber and cloud certifications and DoD 8140 Advanced level cyber qualification highly desired
- Education/Certification Minimum
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, data science, software development or STEM related specialty and 18+years’ related professional experience; or Master’s degree in computer science, software engineering, data science, software development, or STEM related specialty and 10+ years' related professional experience
- Clearance:
- Must possess a Top Secret with SCI eligibility. SAR/SAP experience highly desirable
- Location/Travel
Requirements
- Place of work is on Government site in Colorado Springs. You may be required to travel periodically, less than 10%.
- The pay range for this position in Colorado is $165,000/year to $185,000/year; however, base pay offered may vary depending on established government contract ranges, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience, and other factors. MTSI also offers a full range of medical, financial, and other benefits, dependent on the position offered. Base pay information is based on market location. Applications will be accepted on an ongoing basis. This posting will be renewed periodically until the position is filled.
