Responsibilities
- Modern Technology Solutions, Inc. (MTSI) is searching for a Network Engineer - Journeyman to support United States Space Force (USSF) in developing, testing, and deploying defensive cyber capabilities throughout the USSF.
- A successful candidate should be a leader and problem solver with a proven ability to deliver superior results as part of a high performing team in a fast-paced environment.
- Your essential job functions will include but may not be limited to:
- Uses knowledge of network hardware and software to help design and install internal and external networks.
- Tests and evaluates network systems to eliminate problems and make improvements. Relies on established guidelines and instructions to perform daily job functions.
- Coordinates with mission system program offices and other stakeholders to conduct site surveys to determine host network architecture, data rates, and other characteristics to facilitate integration with defensive cyber HW and SW capabilities; and to determine sufficient power, cooling, floorspace, etc of host facilities
Qualifications
- Required:
- 3+ years' related professional experience
- Relevant network certifications: JNCDA, JNCDS-DC, JNCDS-SEC, CCNA, or equivalent
- Cyber Certifications, eg Security+, CISSP, highly desired
- Desired skills/experience:
- Relevant DoD and/or Industry work experience in Space Systems Command Experience with Defensive Cyber Operations (SSC/SZWO) program office
- Education/Certification Minimum
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, data science, software development or STEM related specialty and 3+ years’ related professional experience; or Associates and 7+ years experience
- Clearance:
- Must possess a Top Secret with SCI eligibility. SAR/SAP experience highly desirable
- Location/Travel
Requirements
- Place of work is Colorado Springs; remote work opportunity is limited. You will be required to travel periodically for site surveys, less than 20%.
- The pay range for this position in Colorado is $120,000/year to $155,000/year; however, base pay offered may vary depending on established government contract ranges, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience, and other factors. MTSI also offers a full range of medical, financial, and other benefits, dependent on the position offered. Base pay information is based on market location. Applications will be accepted on an ongoing basis. This posting will be renewed periodically until the position is filled.
