Overview

Azure Core Product Marketing is looking for a Senior Product Marketing Manager, 3rd Party Strategic Workloads. We're an entrepreneurial group of product marketers playing a central role in shaping the Azure business. Your mission: help customers with mission-critical partner workloads and applications to Azure, and unlock business transformation through integration with the broader Microsoft Cloud, including analytics and AI.

This role sits on the inbound side of product marketing. You'll be the voice of the customer, the partner, and the market inside the business translating what you learn into the bets we make on product, partnerships, and positioning. The work happens through people.

You'll build alongside Azure marketing, Business Development, Business Planning, Engineering, Sales, Partner Teams, and external ISVs to shape strategy and direction. Success depends on bringing those groups with you. earning their trust, surfacing the best thinking in the room, and turning shared insight into a plan the business wants to run.

Responsibilities

  • Shape the strategy and direction for growing ISVs business on the Microsoft Cloud.
  • Develop a deep understanding of customer and partner needs, market and user trends, and the competitive landscape, and make that understanding actionable inside the business.
  • Lead the competitive strategy for winning vs. key vendors. Frame the choices, the trade-offs, and the bets that need to be made.
  • Partner with engineering and product teams to influence product strategy and roadmap, bringing customer, partner, market, and competitive insight into the rooms where direction is set.
  • Build deep, trusted relationships with Business Development, Business Planning, and external ISV partners — co-shaping where we invest, which partnerships matter, and what we build together.
  • Develop key business insights and metrics related to strategy, and communicate them clearly and constructively in executive leadership forums.
  • Craft the joint value proposition, use cases, and scenarios that showcase Microsoft's thought leadership and technological edge, the foundation our outbound teams build from.
  • Compile and evaluate market intelligence to identify opportunities and inform strategies for customer acquisition, adoption, and renewal.
  • Partner with sales, partner, and ISV teams as they translate this strategy into GTM execution, keeping the through-line from insight to market intact.

Qualifications

  • Required/minimum qualifications
  • Masters Degree in Marketing, Computer Science, Business or related field AND 3+ years experience in Product and/or vendor partnerships
  • OR Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Computer Science, Business or related field AND 5+ years experience in Product Marketing
  • OR equivalent experience.
  • Experience partnering with business, finance, and engineering teams to influence product value.
  • Additional or preferred qualifications
  • Master's Degree in Marketing, Computer Science, Business or related field AND 6+ years experience in Product Marketing
  • OR Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Computer Science, Business or related field AND 8+ years experience in Product Marketing
  • OR equivalent experience.
  • Experience working cross-functionally across engineering, business development, sales, and partner organizations.
  • Experience building and managing relationships with external ISV or technology partners.
  • Understanding of cloud computing technologies, business drivers, and emerging trends.
  • A proven ability to build coalitions across teams and partners, and to move work forward through influence.
  • Product Marketing IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $106,400 - $203,600 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $137,600 - $222,600 per year.
