real workload data and deep system knowledge to simulate tradeoffs across

large-scale cloud environments and influence product direction. The work is

infrastructure and wants to shape what comes next.

Responsibilities

  • Design and
  • evolve a data center-scale logical model to evaluate future SSD product
  • scenarios Integrate workload data, telemetry, and benchmarks into performance,
  • power, and cost models Model hyperscaler tradeoffs across compute, memory,
  • storage, and interconnect to inform product strategy Analyze AI infrastructure
  • components including GPUs, DDR5, HBM, CXL, and NVMe storage systems Present
  • insights and recommendations to senior leadership and partner cross-functionally
  • across architecture and engineering

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in
  • Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field
  • with 10+ years of experience Experience working in hyperscale data centers or
  • large cloud environments with understanding of infrastructure at scale Strong
  • programming skills in Python, C/C++, or similar for building modeling and
  • analysis tools Deep knowledge of data center architecture including compute,
  • memory, storage, power, and interconnect systems Experience communicating
  • complex technical insights to executive stakeholders

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s or PhD in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related
  • technical field Experience building system-level performance, power, or cost
  • models using real-world data Background in SSD or DRAM engineering,
  • characterization, or performance analysis Familiarity with simulators or
  • platforms such as QEMU, gem5, Simics, PCIe, or memory subsystems Track record of
  • building internal tools or contributing to systems architecture or performance
  • research The US base salary range that Micron Technology estimates it could pay
  • for this full-time position is: $170,000.00 - $289,000.00 a year Additional
  • compensation may include benefits, bonuses and equity. Our salary ranges are
  • determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting
  • reflects the minimum and maximum target base pay for new hire salaries of the
  • position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined
  • by work location and additional job-related factors, including knowledge,
  • skills, experience, tenure and relevant education or training. The pay scale is
