That means you have an unprecedented opportunity to put the global economy within everyone’s reach while doing the most important work of your career.About the teamThe AV Events Team at Stripe is tasked with delivering best in class internal events and post production support at Stripe globally (North America, Europe, Asia) with a primary focus on creating, optimizing, delivering and managing: virtual production events, live events, streaming and video on demand content for all office and remote based employees.What you’ll doAt Stripe, managers grow teams and inspire them to do their best work.
We’re looking for a seasoned leader to take our Audio Visual (AV) Events team to the next level. This is a hands-on role that will continually assess the needs of our fellow Stripes, driving efficiencies and services that improve productivity.
The ideal candidate will be a proven thought leader in the A/V arena with a strong customer mindset, leadership and communication skills, and experience with supporting the A/V technology for live events at a large, global corporation.ResponsibilitiesBe proactive & knowledgeable on relevant technologies and products; and provide an ongoing forward-looking roadmap for our next 2-3 years’ solutionsDrive consistent A/V capabilities for produced and broadcast events for our organization, through the creation and distribution of best practices, procedures, and servicesMaintain a high bar for internal eventsCreate an atmosphere that fosters high performance and collaboration within the organization that emphasizes teamwork and accountability while rewarding initiative, innovation, discipline and operational excellenceDevelop strong customer relationships, cross functional and internal Corporate Technology relationships.
Establish yourself and your team as a trusted advisor/partnerContinuously manage customer expectations with regular communications and updates on events, technology strategy, performance concernsLead, grow, and mentor skilled AV producers, operators and broadcast engineersSet clear goals and directions, and provide regular feedback on team members’ performanceTravel to our offices as neededWho you areWe’re looking for someone who meets the minimum requirements to be considered for the role.

The preferred qualifications are a bonus, not a requirement.Minimum requirements5+ years of relevant experience leading a Global AV Events or Production TeamPrior experience delivering technical solutions in high growth environmentsAbility to create necessary documentation, knowledge bases, and run books to enhance the execution of the service.Experience and comfort interacting with executives and senior leadersWorking consistently and effectively in a collaborative environmentStrong problem-solving skillsA healthy skepticism for the status quo and an unwillingness to settleExperience being a catalyst for positive change in a global organizationExperience empowering the team and leading with empathy and integrityPrecise communication skills, both written and verbalPreferred qualificationsCTS and/or CTS-D certificationQ-Sys certificationDante certificationExperience with QSC and Crestron programmingExperience with the design and deployment of large event spaceExperience collaborating and leading both internal and external tent-pole enterprise events.Engineering experience and understanding of large event spaces and complex control room and virtual event signal flows and designs.
