About the Role
Procurement at Mercor isn’t a back-office function—it’s a strategic lever for scaling one of the world’s largest AI-powered expert networks. As a Senior Sourcing Manager, Technology, you’ll lead commercial sourcing and negotiations across a broad portfolio of technology, AI, infrastructure, and business-critical vendors.
Partnering closely with Engineering, Security, Product, Finance, Legal, and Operations, you’ll help the business adopt new technologies quickly, negotiate commercial frameworks that scale with our growth, and ensure our supplier ecosystem is a competitive advantage. This is a highly visible role with significant ownership. You’ll independently lead negotiations ranging from tactical purchases to multi-million-dollar strategic agreements.
Your work will directly influence how quickly Mercor can adopt new technologies, scale its AI platform and expert network, and build durable commercial advantages.
What You'll Do
- Lead end-to-end sourcing and commercial negotiations across software, AI, cloud, infrastructure, security, developer tools, and business services.
- Partner with stakeholders across Engineering, Security, Product, Finance, Legal, IT, and Operations to deliver commercial outcomes that enable the business to move quickly and scale efficiently.
- Structure commercial agreements that balance speed, flexibility, cost, and long-term business value.
- Independently negotiate agreements ranging from tactical purchases to $1M+ strategic vendor relationships.
- Own competitive sourcing events, pricing strategy, contract negotiations, renewals, and supplier relationships.
- Provide market insights and commercial guidance to influence vendor and investment decisions.
- Help build scalable procurement processes that enable growth without creating friction.
What We're Looking For
- 7+ years of experience in strategic sourcing, procurement, vendor management, or commercial negotiations.
- Proven experience negotiating complex software, SaaS, cloud, AI, infrastructure, or technology agreements, including $1M+ strategic deals.
- Strong commercial judgment with the ability to structure creative, win-win agreements.
- Exceptional stakeholder management skills and experience partnering with Engineering, Security, Product, Finance, and Legal teams.
- Strong analytical, financial, and negotiation skills.
- A builder’s mindset with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
- Passion for creating commercial frameworks that help the business move faster and scale smarter.
Compensation
