Overall Purpose Of The Job
International SOS is looking for a talented Sr. Network Security Engineer to help secure, design, operate, and maintain its IT network and security infrastructure for a key government contract. The ideal candidate would have a passion for solving technical problems and a drive for continually assessing and improving the technical environment in which they operate.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintains data network hardware and systems including Azure and Cisco on-premise networks.
- Investigates and resolves network and hardware issues of significance; researches, analyses, isolates and resolves errors.
- Assesses and evaluates current and future systems
- Monitor the IPS system for network intrusions and respond to incidents
- Ensure IPS system and signatures are kept up-to-date.
- Design networks on-premises or in the Azure government cloud as described in the project requirements and in line with architectural principles.
- Develop and monitor key network metrics for input into IT reviews/reporting and monitoring.
- Implement VPN and firewall rule, web filtering changes.
- Perform hardware and software upgrades of network infrastructure like Cisco switches, Checkpoint firewalls, F5 Load balancers.
- Required Skills and Knowledge
- Cisco Nexus and Catalyst Switches
- Checkpoint Firewalls and Intrusion Prevention
- F5 Load Balancers
- Microsoft Azure Networking (Virtual networks, Routing, Subnets, Express Route, VPN, Network Security Groups)
- Networking Protocols/Concepts (Routing, VLAN, Subnetting, Load balancing, TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP, TLS, SSH)
- Script Experience a plus - PowerShell, Python, Bash, or similar
- Required Competencies

- Comfortable with ambiguity.
- Required Work Experience
- 5+ Experience designing, building, and operating networks
- 5+ Years Checkpoint Security
- 5+ Years Cisco networking
- 10+ Years in IT
- Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Information Security, or equivalent 4 years additional experience in network security engineering.
- Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA)
- Azure Network Engineer Associate preferred
- This position does require a US Citizen who can obtain Tier 3/ Level II IT Security Clearance (previously referred to as ADP II Clearance) after being offered a position and maintaining clearance after starting with International SOS.
