DevOps Engineer – Azure / Terraform Migration
Location: Boston, MA

Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced DevOps Engineer with strong Azure, Terraform, and migration experience to support infrastructure modernization initiatives. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code, Terraform environments, CI/CD pipelines, and migrating existing infrastructure and automation into standardized, scalable environments.
This role will provide technical governance and oversight throughout the migration lifecycle, ensuring secure, repeatable, and well-documented infrastructure migrations.
Key Responsibilities
- * Assess existing Terraform modules, Azure DevOps pipelines, and automation assets to determine migration readiness and suitability.
- * Define migration strategies, runbooks, validation criteria, and disposition scoring across multiple workstreams.
- * Review Terraform state imports, plan outputs, and Sentinel policy integrations to support zero-impact migrations and cutovers.
- * Establish standardized migration patterns and best practices for brownfield and new subscription environments.
- * Design and govern Harness CI/CD pipeline templates for both Terraform Enterprise (TFE) and non-TFE execution models.
- * Review and approve workspace configurations, compliance evidence, and migration documentation prior to client handoff.
- * Provide technical governance and oversight to ensure secure, scalable, and repeatable infrastructure migration execution.
- * Support cloud migration and modernization initiatives across Azure environments.
- * Collaborate with engineering and infrastructure teams to identify risks, dependencies, and opportunities for automation and standardization.
- * Develop and maintain migration documentation, technical standards, and cutover procedures.
- Required Qualifications
- * Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure.
- * Strong experience with Terraform and Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
- * Experience with cloud, infrastructure, or data migration initiatives.
- * Experience with Terraform state management and imports.
- * Experience with Azure DevOps (ADO) Pipelines.
- * Knowledge of CI/CD automation and DevOps frameworks.
- * Experience working with infrastructure governance, compliance, and standardized deployment practices.
- * Strong understanding of migration planning, validation, and cutover processes.

- The ideal candidate is a hands-on DevOps professional who combines strong Azure and Terraform expertise with practical migration experience. You should be comfortable assessing existing infrastructure, developing migration strategies, governing IaC implementations, and working across engineering teams to deliver secure and repeatable cloud migrations.
