About the role
What will you do at Homebot?
Want to move fast, build with AI, and ship products that reach millions? We're looking for a Senior Backend Engineer to help build and grow our applications while keeping the platform fast, reliable, and scalable.
Homebot is a homeownership platform for lenders and real estate, title, and insurance professionals that drives client retention and referrals. We help homeowners build wealth through homeownership while keeping our customers connected to their clients for life.
This is a full-time, hybrid position based out of our Denver office. The team works in office on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
What You'll Be Accountable For
Build and grow our applications, services, and APIs by shipping new features and enhancements.
Own implementation end to end, using AI tooling to deliver features from idea to production quickly and responsibly.
Create AI-driven workflows and automation that streamline how we work.
Collaborate through code reviews, technical planning, and architecture discussions.
Partner with product, design, and engineering leadership to shape the roadmap and solve hard problems.
Ship maintainable, well-tested code that scales.

Experience & Qualifications
You have 3+ years building production-grade software. You're a capable full-stack engineer comfortable working in TypeScript, React, Ruby on Rails, and more.
You think in APIs and services. You've built and consumed REST and GraphQL APIs. You keep services decoupled, typed, and scalable.
You build with AI. You use AI-powered dev tools and agentic workflows daily, and you own the code you ship and the decisions behind it.
You build for quality. You write clean, testable code with strong typing and runtime validation. You test behavior over implementation.
You care how it runs, and how it's used. You instrument what you build with monitoring, logging, tracing, and product analytics like Amplitude.
You know your way around data. Solid grasp of relational databases (PostgreSQL, SQL).
You're a collaborative teammate. You communicate clearly, give and take thoughtful code reviews, and enjoy working with product and design.
