What will you do at Google?

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

* Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.

* 8 years of experience in programming.

* 5 years of experience testing, and launching software products.

* 5 years of experience building and developing large-scale infrastructure,

distributed systems or networks, or experience with compute technologies,

storage, or hardware architecture.

* 3 years of experience with software design and architecture.

* Experience with distributed computing, large-scale data processing.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

* Master’s degree or PhD in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related

technical field.

* 8 years of experience with data structures and algorithms.

* 8 years of experience programming in C++ or Java.

* 3 years of experience in a technical leadership role leading project teams

and setting technical direction.

* 3 years of experience working in a matrixed organization involving

cross-functional, or cross-business projects.

* Experience with data center architecture and technology.

We are seeking a highly talented and experienced lead engineer to join our

growing team which focuses on designing and building our next generation data

center resource modeling platform. This platform is essential for managing the

Google-wide fleet deployment planning and execution, and modeling hardware

across all machine racks and internal components. It enables us to plan future

capacity, monitor the data center hardware, and manage the life-cycle of

machines in the datacenter at scale while reducing the total cost of operations.

  • Individual pay is determined by factors including job-related skills,
  • experience, and relevant education or training.
  • US: $207000 - $300000 (USD) + 20% bonus target + equity + benefits
