What will you do at Google?
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
* Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
* 10 years of experience in front-end development, technical UX design, or
prototyping.
* Experience in application development in one or more of the platforms/areas
(e.g., web, iOS, Android, CompDes, XR).
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
* Experience with the latest web standards, and latest iterations of those
technologies such as JS/ES6, HTML5, CSS, REST, and mobile web.
* Experience with React, Lit, Angular, or a similar framework.
* Experience leading the design and implementation of UIs and technical
frameworks.
* Experience with vibe coding approaches and toolkits, with an understanding of
the best practices in prompt engineering.
* Understanding of fundamental web technologies (e.g., JavaScript, HTML, CSS).
* Understanding of how to apply AI to accelerate UX and engineering workflows.

Joining a multi-disciplinary UX team, you will collaborate with Engineering and
Product Management, using user insights to create industry-leading products. In
a fast-paced environment, you will use your creativity, analytical skills, and
knowledge of user-facing technologies to: create prototypes that define product
experiences; launch innovative features; build tools to accelerate UX teams; and
bridge design and engineering to ensure efficient, high-quality execution.

As a UX Engineer, you will be at the center of this transformation, bridging the
gap between design and engineering to create intuitive and impactful user

Individual pay is determined by factors including job-related skills,
experience, and relevant education or training.
US: $236000 - $329000 (USD) + 25% bonus target + equity + benefits

RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Serve as a subject matter expert for the broader organization, embracing
emerging standards while establishing best practices to push the limits of
what browsers, devices, and AI systems can do.
* Act as a cross-functional liaison to drive consensus among UX Designers,
Researchers, Product Managers, and Software Engineers. Architect front-end
solutions that solve high-complexity problems and answer critical research
questions.
* Deliver on large portions of projects by writing code, while influencing
product areas stakeholders to align on outcomes that benefit the user.
* Design and develop the front-ends of user-facing products, bringing a
human-centered approach to research while ensuring engineering and design
goals meet user needs.
* Lead the creation of prototypes to support user studies and decision-making
across the entire development cycle from early explorations to product
release.
