MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, a related
technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
* 8 years of experience in security engineering with a focus on application
security, or software development architecting, operating, or scaling
large-scale distributed systems, enterprise platforms, or cloud
infrastructure.
* 8 years of experience with data structures and algorithms.
* 3 years of experience in a technical leadership or tech lead role setting
strategy for security programs, reliability initiatives, or large-scale
systems, and driving cross-team execution.
* Experience with application security vulnerabilities, secure coding
practices, and mitigation techniques.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
* Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a
related technical field.
* Experience with vulnerability management programs, security tooling, and
automation.
* Experience leading security or reliability efforts for a portfolio of SaaS or
enterprise security products.
* Deep domain expertise in Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) principles,
production systems governance, multi-region disaster recovery, and incident
response frameworks.
* Strong expertise in defining SLOs/SLIs, building observability frameworks,
and scaling operations in fast-growing, mission-critical cloud environments.

With your technical expertise you will manage project priorities, deadlines, and

To lead and evolve both the application security posture and horizontal
reliability of the entire Google Unified Security Operations (SecOps) and Threat
Operations product portfolio.

- RESPONSIBILITIES:
- * Drive the technical goal, strategy, and multi-year roadmap across the Google
- Unified SecOps and Threat Operations portfolio.
- * Elevate standards for incident management, risk analysis, architecture
- reviews, blameless postmortems, and sustainable, healthy on-call rotations.
- * Serve as the ultimate technical decision-maker and escalation point for all
- reliability, production health, and application security matters within
- Google Unified SecOps and Threat Operations.
- * Act as the primary development liaison to the Google Unified SecOps and
- Threat Operations SRE organization; drive consensus across disparate software
- engineering and platform teams, acting as a neutral arbiter on complex
- architectural and operational decisions across Google Cloud Security.
- * Serve as a trusted technical authority on complex, distributed systems
- architectures; identify critical failure modes in real-time streaming, batch
- processing, and AI/ML-driven threat operations, guiding engineering teams
- toward resilient, self-healing designs.
