What will you do at Google?
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
* Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
* 5 years of experience with software development in one or more programming
languages (e.g., Golang or Python), or 1 year of experience with an advanced
degree.
* 5 years of experience with developing large-scale infrastructure, distributed
systems or networks, or experience with compute technologies, storage or
hardware architecture.
* 5 years of experience building and managing distributed software systems and
infrastructure.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
* Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science, or a related technical field.
* 5 years of experience with performance, large-scale systems data analysis,
visualization tools, or debugging.
* 5 years of experience with data structures and algorithms in either an
academic or industry setting.
* Experience in designing and building distributed systems, and ability to
adapt to diagnosing network issues using debugging tools (e.g., PCAP
analysis).
* Experience in code and system health, diagnosis and resolution, and software
test engineering.
* Knowledge of Google technologies and infrastructure including networking,
security, corporate systems and infrastructure, system administration and
operations, and the software development lifecycle.

system design, networking and data storage, security, artificial intelligence,

growing every day. As a software engineer, you will work on a specific project
critical to Google’s needs with opportunities to switch teams and projects as
you and our fast-paced business grow and evolve. We need our engineers to be

problems across the full-stack as we continue to push technology forward.
We are building the next gen firewall product that adds Layer 7 security for
intrusion prevention and detection of threats and malicious attacks. We are
working on the next set of problems and building out the capabilities necessary
to ensure that our customers have the most reliable, performant, and secure
environment in which to run their workloads.

Individual pay is determined by factors including job-related skills,
experience, and relevant education or training.
US: $174000 - $252000 (USD) + 15% bonus target + equity + benefits

RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Write product or system development code. Review code developed by other
developers and provide feedback to ensure best practices (e.g., style
guidelines, checking code in, accuracy, testability, and efficiency).
* Contribute to existing documentation or educational content and adapt content
based on product/program updates and user feedback.
* Triage product or system issues and debug/track/resolve by analyzing the
sources of issues and the impact on hardware, network, or service operations
and quality.
* Implement high-quality solutions using Go, C++, Python, and more.
* Design reliable and performant solutions for Cloud Networking Security
intrusion prevention and detection products.
