MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, a related technical

field, or equivalent practical experience.

* 8 years of experience in product management or related technical role.

* 3 years of experience in consumer product management, specifically delivering

consumer-facing software products from concept to launch.

* Experience building and launching products utilizing machine learning, large

language models (LLMs), or generative AI technologies.

* Experience leading cross-functional teams (including Engineering, UX, Policy,

and Legal) to align on and launch features.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

* Master's degree in a technology or business related field.

* 5 years of experience working cross-functionally with engineering, UX/UI,

sales finance, and other stakeholders.

* 5 years of experience in a business function or role (e.g., marketing,

business operations, consulting).

* 4 years of experience in a role preparing and delivering technical

presentations to executive leadership.

* 3 years of experience in software development or engineering.

* 3 years of people management experience with direct reports, and in technical

leadership.

ABOUT THE JOB:

As the Senior Product Manager for GenAI Responsibility, you will own the safety,

quality, and responsibility strategy for YouTube’s conversational AI products on

Search and Watch. These features allow users to search for content and ask

follow-up questions about the videos they are watching. Your mission is to

ensure that when users ask about sensitive topics - such as medical advice,

financial planning, election details, or breaking news - the AI provides highly

accurate, helpful, and safe responses.At YouTube, we believe that everyone

RESPONSIBILITIES:

* Define and drive the end-to-end responsibility strategy and roadmap for

conversational GenAI products (Ask Search, Ask Watch) on sensitive topics.

* Develop scalable evaluation frameworks (using both human raters and

LLM-as-a-judge methodologies) to measure and monitor GenAI response quality

on sensitive topics globally.

* Partner with GenAI Engineering and Research to develop, test, and launch

safety guardrails, prompt engineering guidelines, and response-filtering

models.

* Collaborate closely with Trust and Safety, Policy, Legal, and PR to ensure

GenAI responses align with YouTube’s global platform policies and rapidly

evolving regional regulations.

* Design and analyze complex experiments to measure how safety interventions

impact both responsibility goals and core user satisfaction metrics.
