What will you do at Google?
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, a similar technical field, or
equivalent practical experience.
* 5 years of work experience in a technical role (e.g., software engineering,
solutions consultant, etc.) or equivalent technical experience.
* 2 years of experience working with software and data engineering concepts and
frameworks.
* 1 year experience working with current AI and Agentic frameworks (e.g., MCP,
etc.).
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
* Experience with on-premise or cloud technologies data.
* Experience working directly with customers, partners, or third-party
developers, and advocating or mentoring for new and existing technologies and
programming languages.
* Ability to take ownership of solutions and exert influence without authority.
ABOUT THE JOB:
Passionate people are everywhere at Google. In Developer Relations, we get
excited to collaborate and connect with the communities that love technology as
much as we do. Part community manager and part developer advocate, Developer
Relations Engineers collaborate with developers at conferences and online, and
advocate for developers interests internally at Google. Not afraid to be
hands-on, you write sample code and client libraries as well as participate in
developer forums and support queues to troubleshoot and debug coding problems
developers encounter. Internally, you work with product engineering teams to
improve our products by conveying feedback from developers, reviewing API
designs and testing new features.
With your technical expertise, you drive strategy around fostering a community
of developers who work with Google technologies. An ardent advocate for these
developers, you represent their voice internally to our Product Managers and
serve as their Google support in application development and technology
implementation.
Our team creates the magic that enables builder and developer awareness and
adoption of the Data and Analytics platform in Google Cloud. Our core mission is
to enable successful adoption and implementation of data in our users'
infrastructure and applications. Everything from creating content like blogs and
videos, to working with product and engineering on how to make our products
better drives this goal. We represent our users' voices internally while
teaching externally.
Individual pay is determined by factors including job-related skills,
experience, and relevant education or training.
US: $163000 - $236000 (USD) + 15% bonus target + equity + benefits

RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Advocate for Google Cloud data and analytics products to foster developer
adoption and success.
* Create informative technical assets, including demos, code samples,
documentation, and blog posts, to boost awareness.
* Develop and lead technical workshops enabling practitioners to build and
operationalize cloud analytics solutions.
* Engage third-party communities and engineering teams to drive developer
momentum and gather key product feedback.
* Represent community needs internally to influence Google Cloud product
strategy with cross-functional teams.
