What will you do at Google?

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

* Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.

* 5 years of experience in product management or a related technical role.

* Experience building and launching products utilizing machine learning, Large

Language Models (LLMs), or generative AI technologies.

* Experience in product management, specifically delivering consumer-facing

software products from concept to launch.

* Experience leading cross-functional teams including Engineering, UX, Policy,

and Legal to launch features.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

* Experience designing and scaling evaluation frameworks for LLMs (e.g.,

human-in-the-loop annotation, LLM-as-a-judge, red-teaming).

* Experience working in Trust and Safety, AI safety, content moderation, or

information quality products.

* Familiarity with prompt engineering, AI safety guardrails, or conversational

AI interfaces (e.g., search, assistants).

* Ability to influence technical roadmaps with Engineering and Research

partners, and communicate complex risk-mitigation plans to executive

leadership.

* Excellent collaboration skills to navigate high-stakes policy, regulatory,

and public relations requirements globally.

* Excellent investigative skills with experience in A/B testing,

experimentation, and defining metrics for ambiguous product areas.

  • As the Product Manager for GenAI Responsibility, you will own the safety,
  • quality, and responsibility strategy for YouTube’s conversational AI products on
  • Search and Watch. These features allow users to search for content and ask
  • follow-up questions about the videos they are watching. You will ensure that
  • when users ask about sensitive topics - such as medical advice, financial
  • planning, election details, or breaking news - the AI provides highly accurate,
  • helpful, and safe responses.

  • Individual pay is determined by factors including job-related skills,
  • experience, and relevant education or training.
  • US: $163000 - $236000 (USD) + 15% bonus target + equity + benefits

  • RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • * Define and drive the end-to-end responsibility strategy and roadmap for
  • conversational GenAI products on sensitive topics.
  • * Develop scalable evaluation frameworks to measure and monitor GenAI response
  • quality on sensitive topics globally.
  • * Partner with GenAI Engineering and Research to develop, test, and launch
  • safety guardrails, prompt engineering guidelines, and response-filtering
  • models.
  • * Collaborate closely with Trust and Safety, Policy, Legal, and PR to ensure
  • GenAI responses align with YouTube’s global platform policies and rapidly
  • evolving regional regulations.
  • * Present your goals, strategy, and risk mitigation plans regularly to
  • executive leadership, driving alignment and buy-in on high-stakes product
  • decisions.
