What will you do at Google?
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
* Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
* 10 years of experience with cloud native architecture in a customer-facing or
support role.
* Experience with cloud engineering, on-premise engineering, virtualization, or
containerization platforms.
* Experience in programming languages, debugging, systems design, prototyping,
demos, or customer workshops.
* Experience working with, or presenting to, technical stakeholders or
executive leaders.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
* Experience in migrating applications and services to cloud platforms.
* Experience with security concepts such as encryption, identity management,
access control, attack vectors, and pen testing.
* Experience with networking concepts such as software-defined networking,
routing, virtual private networks, load balancers, and firewalls.

As a Platform Customer Engineer (CE), you will partner with technical Sales
teams to differentiate Google Cloud to the customers. You will serve as the
customer’s primary technical partner and trusted advisor, engaging in
technical-led conversations to understand their business issues. You will
troubleshoot technical questions and roadblocks, engage in proofs-of-concepts
and demos, and architect cross-pillar cloud solutions that solve these business
issues. You will engage with technical and business leaders, and persuasively
present practical and useful solutions on Google Cloud. You will focus on
identifying, pursuing, and winning new business workloads.

Individual pay is determined by factors including job-related skills,
experience, and relevant education or training.
US: $152000 - $222000 (USD) + 42.86% bonus target + equity + benefits

RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Work with the team to identify and qualify business opportunities, understand
key customer technical objections, and develop the strategy to resolve
technical blockers.
* Share enterprise infrastructure modernization expertise to support the
technical relationship with customers, including technology advocacy, support
bid responses, product and solution briefings, proof-of-concept work, and
partner with product management to prioritize solutions impacting customer
adoption to Google Cloud.
* Work with Google Cloud products to demonstrate and prototype integrations in
customer and partner environments.
* Guide customers through assessments of existing legacy application
environments and provide recommendations on a prioritization roadmap for
infrastructure and application modernization.
* Recommend integration strategies, enterprise architectures, platforms, and
application infrastructure to implement a complete solution on Google Cloud.
