What will you do at Fortinet?
The Wireless Development Quality Assurance Engineer works within the R&D team to ensure the productivity, reliability, and accuracy of the Fortinet's WLAN product. In general, testing is to cover various features combinations integrated with various Fortinet products, in a way most customer would be deploying their real-time production networks; with real-clients and traffic. Also to test Interoperability between Fortinet-devices and 3rd party devices or clients.
The QA Engineer must be able to collaborate with the team and work efficiently and effectively, in a fast-paced work environment, to identify the highest risks that must be addressed for determining release readiness.

Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and execute detailed test plans (functional, regression, performance).
- Build complex testbeds integrating multiple Fortinet and third-party devices.
- Perform interoperability testing (Fortinet + 3rd-party devices/clients).
- Analyze customer-reported issues, review logs, replicate defects in lab, validate fixes.
- Identify, isolate, document, and track bugs through resolution.
- Produce accurate QA reports on time.
- Build and maintain test infrastructure for feature validation and defect reproduction.
- Perform root cause analysis and collaborate with developers on debugging.

Requirements
- 3–6+ years of wireless QA experience.
- Strong understanding of QA methodologies (test plans, bug tracking, failure documentation).
- Networking and Wi-Fi protocol knowledge:
- 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac/ax/be
- Experience with:
- Functional, stress/load, and performance testing
- Linux/UNIX/Windows OS
- Debugging and log analysis
- Wireless tools:
- Wireshark
- Omnipeek
- Ixia Veriwave
- Chariot
- iperf
- Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
- Excellent written and verbal English communication.
- Python automation experience.
- Experience working in Agile development environments.
- Advanced degree in Computer Science or related field.
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science/Engineering, or equivalent.
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship
- The US base salary range for this full-time position is $130,000-$151,000. Fortinet offers employees a variety of benefits, including medical, dental, vision, life and disability insurance, 401(k), 11 paid holidays, vacation time, and sick time, as well as a comprehensive leave program.
- Wage ranges are based on various factors, including the labour market, job type, and job level. Exact salary offers will be determined by factors such as the candidate's subject knowledge, skill level, qualifications, experience, and geographic location.
- All roles are eligible to participate in the Fortinet equity program. Bonus eligibility is reviewed at the time of hire and annually at the Company’s discretion.
