Job Description
Fortinet is developing a powerful platform that combines the security for the datacenter and carrier solutions that enables organizations to efficiently manage, scale and secure their networks. This QA Engineer will be part of this exciting development and will be working with a strong technical team that has experience delivering the solutions to large carriers.
Participate in building a High-end firewall platform for data centers/Carriers that provides high throughput packet processing to the service provider using latest networking technologies. Our ideal candidate is willing to learn new skillsets and take on challenges.
Job Duties:
Conduct functional validation on new generation cyber security and networking products using a blend of manual and auto-testing methodologies.
Execute testing activity alignment with established CI/CD build process.
Design, configure and optimize scalable hardware, virtual environment and network infrastructure.
Explorer FortiGate features and develop new test approach with necessary test tools and skills.
Work closely with Developers, QA, and others to understand new features, user cases.
Identify, document, and track software defects found during testing.
Write and maintain automation scripts.
Passionate, motivated, and always willing to learn and explore new technologies.
Thrive in a collaborative, fast-team environment with excellent communication and problem-solving skill
Job Experience Required:
3+ years of testing in QA engineering with a blend of manual and automation testing.
Strong knowledge on automation testing framework, Python, Pytest, Robot framework, and Linux Bash scripting.
Solid understanding of TCP/IP, routing and switching, DNS, DHCP, VPN, HA.
Experience with network infrastructure, hardware, and troubleshooting.
Hands-on experience on VM configuration, with ESXI, Proxmox system or Docker container.
Understanding of general QA procedures and methodologies.
Able to manage priority and delivery high quality design under tight deadline
Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills with ability to work effectively with engineering and cross functional team
Have any networking certification like FCA/FCP/FCSS, CCNA/CCNP etc. is a plus.
New graduate with AI related skill is preferred.
Educational Requirement:
· Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science/Engineering, or equivalent
Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship
The US base salary range for this full-time position is $130,000-$150,000. Fortinet offers employees a variety of benefits, including medical, dental, vision, life and disability insurance, 401(k), 11 paid holidays, vacation time, and sick time as well as a comprehensive leave program. Wage ranges are based on various factors including the labor market, job type, and job level.
Exact salary offers will be determined by factors such as the candidate's subject knowledge, skill level, qualifications, experience, and geographic location. All roles are eligible to participate in the Fortinet equity program; Bonus eligibility is reviewed at time of hire and annually at the Company’s discretion.
